🌱 About “Green and Slow”
“Green and Slow” is an individual volunteering opportunity organized by Ökográf Egyesület. It offers young Europeans the chance to:
- Craft with Waste – Learn creative recycling and lead your own upcycling workshops.
- Build Social Enterprise Skills – From planning and production to social marketing.
- Explore Art & Culture – Organize exhibitions, visit museums, and attend international cultural events.
- Revive Local Traditions – Blend regional heritage with modern design and sustainability.
- Restore a Community House & Garden – Use eco-friendly and traditional building methods.
🏡 Accommodation & Financial Support
- Private room in a cozy house near Pécs city centre
- High-speed internet, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine & linens provided
- Pocket money: €6 per day
- Food allowance: reimbursed up to €150 per month
- Travel costs: reimbursed after project completion
🎓 Training & Requirements
- Two preparatory trainings covered by your National Agency
- Ideal candidate:
- Basic English and willingness to learn Hungarian
- Interest in art, gardening, and traditional architecture
- Openness to new cultures, strong work ethic, and responsibility
