Youth PartEQUALITY – Activr for Gender Equality Policy Development

About the project

Youth PartEQUALITY is a European project aimed at promoting gender equality and inclusive participation among young people. It focuses on empowering youth by involving them in activities that promote gender equality, particularly in relation to women and transgender individuals. The project draws inspiration from the EU Youth Goals, especially Goal 2 (Gender Equality for All) and Goal 9 (Space and Participation for Everyone). Its goal is to ensure that all people, regardless of gender identity, have access to equal opportunities and resources in education, employment, and social life.

Effects of the project

The primary target group of the project is young people from across Europe, especially those who want to actively engage in promoting equality and inclusivity. The project offers them a space for discussion, cooperation, and action to promote policy and social awareness changes. Through organizing various events, such as festivals, workshops, and debates, young people have the opportunity to learn about gender equality and become ambassadors of these values in their communities.

The project is implemented at the European level and involves various EU countries. It works in close collaboration with the EU Youth Dialogue (EUYD) to better address the needs and expectations of young people. The project hosts international events, such as European Parliament simulations, Youth Labs, and campaigns advocating for policy reforms. The project began in 01.08.2023 and will be implemented until 31.01.2025, covering a wide range of educational and social activities.

The key outcomes of the project include raising awareness about gender equality, increasing youth participation in decision-making processes, and developing recommendations for policymakers to introduce changes in gender equality policies. As a result, young people will gain the tools to influence the shaping of a more just and inclusive society. The effects of the project’s actions will extend beyond its formal duration, creating lasting changes at the European level.
