Digital Green Voice – Training Course for Youth Workers on Social Media, Ecology and Democracy
International Erasmus+ KA151-YOU training course for people working with young people.
About the project
Digital Green Voice is an international training course for youth workers, educators and youth leaders who want to use social media and simple digital tools in order to:
- promote green attitudes and everyday eco-friendly practices among young people,
- invite young people to meaningfully participate in democratic processes – such as youth councils, public consultations, participatory budgets, school elections and local civic actions.
The project will bring together 20 participants from 4 countries: Poland, Germany, Finlandia and Luxembourg.
The course combines three key areas of the Erasmus+ Programme:
- 🌱 Project Green Practices – concrete actions for the climate and environment and “green” standards in organising projects,
- 🗳️ Participation in Democratic Life – developing young people’s active citizenship and their impact on decisions,
- 💻 Digital skills and social marketing – conscious, critical and ethical use of online tools.
The activity is implemented by New Europe Foundation (Poland) within its Erasmus+ KA151-YOU accreditation, in cooperation with youth organisations from Germany, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
When and where?
- Dates: 4–12 February 2026

- 5–11.02 – 7 days of programme activities
- 12.02 – departure day
- Location: Międzybrodzie Bialskie, ul. Żywiecka 67

What will you learn?
During the training course:
1. Social media and social marketing
You will:
- explore how young people use social media and how to adapt your language, formats and channels to reach them,
- learn how to plan simple social campaigns: from the idea, through content, to inviting young people to concrete offline action,
- work hands-on with tools commonly used in marketing and communication, such as:
- To Feed – for working with content and planning your feed,
- SocialPilot – for planning and publishing posts across multiple channels,
- Ads Manager (Meta Ads Manager) – basics of creating and analysing campaigns (how to set the objective, target group, budget),
- ElevenLabs – creating short audio materials / voice-overs for educational content for young people,
- Canva (or similar tools) – creating simple visuals, carousels and posters.
We will not turn participants into “performance marketers”, but we will show how to use these tools in educational, youth work and community contexts.
2. Youth education with digital tools
You will:
- learn how to use simple, engaging tools in workshops with young people, such as:
- Mentimeter / Kahoot / Quizizz – for quizzes, voting, collecting opinions and feedback,
- Padlet / Jamboard / Miro – for co-creating maps of problems, ideas and action plans,
- see how to combine these tools with content on ecology, climate and local democracy – so that young people not only click, but also understand and co-decide.
3. Green practices
You will:
- discover concrete ways to make your projects “greener”, for example:
- choosing more sustainable forms of transport,
- reducing waste,
- choosing more eco-friendly catering and materials,
- learn how to promote everyday eco-habits among young people (transport, fashion, energy, food) without moralising or using fear,
- find out how to distinguish real environmental action from greenwashing – and how to communicate your impact honestly.
4. Local democracy and youth participation
You will:
- learn how to explain to young people, in simple language, how the following work:
- youth councils,
- participatory budgeting,
- public consultations,
- school student councils,
- practise how to turn online campaigns into concrete offline steps: debates, meetings with decision-makers, submitting ideas, voting,
- co-create with other participants a draft “Digital Green Voice” mini-campaign, which you can later implement with young people in your community.
At the end, participants will receive a Youthpass certificate confirming their learning outcomes.
Methods
The programme is based on:
- non-formal education (interactive workshops, small group work, simulations, games),
- learning by doing (designing and testing your own mini-campaigns),
- peer learning (sharing experiences between Poland, Germany, the Netherlands and Luxembourg),
- reflection (daily debriefings, individual and group reflections),
- an inclusive approach – we care about participants with fewer opportunities, different learning styles and different levels of digital skills.
Who can apply?
We are looking for 20 participants from four countries: Poland, Germany, the Netherlands and Luxembourg (about 5 people from each country).
We welcome people who:

We especially encourage applications from people who:
